Coppernickel 90/10
A copper-nickel alloy with an alpha phase structure. Small amounts of iron and manganese are added to improve corrosion resistance in high-velocity (from 1 to about 3.5 m/s) waters, including seawater. The alloy is relatively insensitive to stress corrosion. It has good cold- and hot- working properties and is readily weldable.
Special Alloys
XM19 Stainless Steel provides a combination of corrosion resistance and strength not found in any other commercial material available in its price range. This austenitic stainless has corrosion resistance greater than that provided by types 316L and 317L, plus approximately twice the yield strength at room temperature as annealed.
